Child Nutrition

Welcome to the Child Nutrition Department

Isle of Wight County Child Nutrition Department participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch program and is responsible for preparing more than 3,500 meals each day. We encourage every child to participate in school breakfast and lunch programs, which provide well-balanced and well-prepared meals, as well as a la carte and snack items that meet all Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act guidelines.  Child Nutrition offers a variety of menu selections which are designed to ensure we meet the nutritional needs of our students as established by new USDA guidelines.

Our department continuously works on teaching the importance of healthy eating habits, as part of healthy lifestyle. Parents are encouraged to prepay for their children's meals. The website www.LunchPrepay.com , enables parents secure credit card payment options. Registration with the K12 Payment Center gives parents access to their student's lunchroom balance and meal history, and offers e-mail notification when the account balance drops below a set limit.

All students enrolled in Isle of Wight County Schools are given an opportunity to apply for free and reduced price meals.  Applications may be completed privately and securely online at www.LunchApplication.com.  Forms can be obtained from your school's cafeteria, main office, or by downloading the documents below.
